Aurea steps into youth basketball

Aurea Basketball proudly announces a partnership with Sant’Orsola Team 98 for the launch of its youth sector.

Sant’Orsola Team 98, a symbol of women’s basketball in Sassari, has distinguished itself over the past two decades as one of the island’s most prominent clubs, competing for years in the top national women’s leagues and winning numerous senior and youth titles across Sardinia.

Starting with the club’s Under-13 boys’ team, the goal is to develop players under a unified technical philosophy aligned with Aurea’s first team, in order to integrate them into senior rosters at a young age.

This collaboration envisions the adoption of a shared technical approach from the very first steps in minibasket through the youth categories, before channeling athletes into their respective men’s and women’s programs.

The hope is that this agreement will serve as a small yet significant step toward building a flourishing youth academy, strengthening both Aurea’s long-term project and the city’s basketball movement.
