Safeguarding Policy
Aurea Pallacanestro Sassari, in compliance with Legislative Decree no. 36 of February 28, 2021, and Legislative Decree no. 39/2021, is required to develop organizational and control models for sporting activities and codes of conduct to protect minors and prevent harassment, gender-based violence, and any other form of discrimination. Furthermore, it is mandatory to appoint a person responsible for preventing abuse, violence, and discrimination.
Organizational and Control Model for Sports Activities
In accordance with current legislation, ASD Aurea Pallacanestro Sassari has developed organizational and control models for sporting activities, as well as codes of conduct aimed at protecting minors and preventing harassment, gender-based violence, and any form of discrimination.
This organizational and control model for sporting activities was drawn up by the person responsible for supervision, Cristina Belotti , in compliance with paragraph 2 of Article 16 of Legislative Decree no. 39 of 28 February 2021, using the guidelines provided by the Italian Basketball Federation.
Appointment of the Head of Anti-Abuse, Violence and Discrimination
1. We hereby announce that on September 5, 2024, our Board of Directors appointed Ms. Cristina Belotti as the new Officer responsible for combating abuse, violence, and discrimination. She assumed this role on September 6, 2025, as required by Legislative Decree 198/2006 and subsequent Legislative Decree 36/2021. The Officer responsible for combating abuse, violence, and discrimination is responsible for managing any reports of violence, abuse, discrimination, etc. against our members.
2. The person responsible for preventing abuse, violence, and discrimination for our association's members, tasked with preventing and combating all forms of abuse, gender-based violence, and discrimination, in accordance with Legislative Decree 198/2006 and to ensure the physical and moral integrity of athletes pursuant to Article 33, paragraph 6 of Legislative Decree 36/2021, is Ms. Cristina Belotti.
Ms. Cristina Belotti was appointed to this role by the Board of Directors of ASD Aurea Pallacanestro Sassari at its meeting on September 5, 2025, and has accepted the position. His name was sent via email to the relevant Safeguarding Office of the Italian Basketball Federation.
